About Me

I work from my home studio producing quirky, colourful paintings and patterns. Using my original paintings as my main starting point I manipulate repeats and play around with pattern. Each design produced is painted by hand before being printed onto natural cottons using state of the art technology. This has allowed my work to evolve, transforming my two dimensional imagery into three dimensional products such as cushions, throws and anything that can be made from fabric.

Ever since leaving university after studying Textiles, I have been on a constant battle to become a self employed, artist/designer. Trying to produce and sell my art whilst working full time has proved difficult and frustrating. Having been made redundant I decided to take the plunge at creating my own brand and I've never looked back. With a varied bag of experience ranging from automotive interior design, surface pattern and graphics (to name a few) I then embarked on a teaching career which I occasionally dip into by lecturing and hosting workshops.

My work is a result of experiences and surroundings. My love for colour, life and of course dogs is often apparent in my work. Combining my knowledge of textiles and art was a natural process and has allowed me to delve into the world of fabrics and return to my roots.

I am very proud to say that all my designs, cushions and manufacturing are made from scratch in the UK.

Logo Story

lolarubyThe logo (two dogs image) was a result of both myself and my friend's adoption of two dogs by chance. Mine being a minature labradoodle called 'Ruby' and my friends 'Lola' a cross between a whippet and a westie! This is where the concept for the brand evolved and my love for Rare breeds! Check out Ruby and Lola's profile pictures!
